TORTOLA
—Sprinter Britney Wattley is doing her part to ensure that Carlisle—House 4—makes history in the 37th annual inter-house athletics sports day championships, that resumes at 10 a.m. this morning. Led by Robert Mathavious, Carlisle won the first BVI High School title in 1971. Now Wattley—well on her way to achieving her goal of winning the Victrix Ludorum—is working to ensure that Carlisle is the first champion of the Elmore Stoutt High School and the first to win on the new 400 meter Mondo track that was inaugurated yesterday.

After the end of Thursday’s competition, Carlisle has broken away from its 123-123 tie with O’Neal entering the competition—to amass 406 points. O’Neal—House 2—is attempting to hold off defending champions Fleming-House 3-and has a six point edge with 364-358 points. Lettsome-House 1-has tallied 227 points.

Wattley won the Open Girls 3000 meters on Friday, bagged the 100 meters in 12.39 seconds into a -3.9 mph headwind with teammate Darnetia Robinson placing second in 12.81. Wattley established a new sports day 400 meters record with a personal best effort of 57.27 seconds, to erase the 58.06 she ran last month at the Carifta Game.

She then anchored the 4 x 100 meter relay team of Ketia Maduro, Robinson and Tarikah Warner, to a new high school record time of 50.26 seconds.

Full details and results of the competition will be posted this evening.
